Long version of Texas Flood by stevie ray vaughn ! Texas Flood is an electric blues album by blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble, released in 1983. Although "Texas Flood" has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Stylistically, "Texas Flood" is structured around the common three chord blues progression. To prepare the disaster, we propose global flood simulation software which simulates flood flow in short time on an earth viewer (i.e., global geographical information system). User can edit a flood scenario such as the location of levee failure by clicking on the earth viewer, then the software simulate the flood flow based on fluid dynamics. The simulation and GIS communicate each other using our technology, the flood information are visualized on the viewer even during the simulation. I will make a presentation about the technology and show how to work our flood simulation software. March 21, 2008. Fenton, Families in some areas of Metro St Louis have been forced from their homes multiple times in the past few years, making the routine of filling sandbags and rescuing furniture into a familiar drill. Today, the first day of spring brought much-needed sunshine to some flooded communities, but many swelling rivers were not expected to crest until the weekend in Arkansas, Missouri, southern Illinois, southern Indiana and Kentucky. More than 70 counties in Missouri have been declared disaster areas. The worst flooding happened in smaller rivers across the nation's midsection. Major channels such as the Mississippi, Missouri and Ohio rivers saw only minor flooding. In Fenton, dozens of volunteers filled sandbags and piled them against downtown businesses near the fast-rising Meramec River, which was expected to reach more than 20 feet above flood stage in some spots. Forecasters say heavy winter snow coupled with the recent rain means the worst is yet to come.

The Acorn -- Flood Pt.1 (watch in full screen mode for best viewing) Flood Pt. 1 is a modern fable with many hidden meanings in the video's several twists and turns. A penny falls from the sky and begins a cataclysmic chain of events. A glacier falls from a subarctic cliff and wakes a giant who sleeps beneath the sea. The angry giant unleashes his fury in the form of a Tsunami which forms into evil storm clouds that spew rain storms of treasure and gold into a bucolic river, where our hero (and heroine) are picking snails. The two escape the storm in their small boat, and are carried on this current of disaster. Joined by a wise old snail, they witnesss burning carnivals, Escaped zoo animals, and trashed trailer parks, and other such melee as they make their way to the shore. They dance with lions, and cross a desert, cluttered with dinosaur bones and hidden treasures, and climb on board a flying turtle who takes them on a harrowing journey into the sky, through the carnival, and to a safe place in the grass. They plant a snail and are catapulted into outer space, saved by a forgotten satellite. As they peer down towards the earth, a penny falls from our heroine's pocket, starting the chain all over again. The video was largely hand-crafted in the winter of 2007 / 08 by a dedicated team of welders, illustrators, dancers, model makers and animators. The story is told using a bizarre range of life-sized dancing drawings, to raw archival video footage, to puppets made of foam to glaciers made out of wedding cake. On December 14th 1963 in the hills about Los Angeles, the Baldwin Hills Reservoir suddenly cracked and eventually failed flooding the neighborhood below. Several people died and many homes were destroyed. Those of us who were there were already shaken by the death of John Kennedy only three weeks earlier. The reservoir's floodwaters literally washed in the turbulent times that lay ahead.
